A Statement

Where Have I Been? So, this blog went inactive. I went down right after school started and I started getting real sloppy in handling reviews. Attribute it to burn out, tiredness, or just my mental health not doing very well, but I stopped. I took a break from everything but kept watching movies, dealing with games, and working my regular job. I turned everything personal off for a while and stepped away from the social media. I was gonna make reviews back in November, but the election kind of put me in a bad place and I stepped back away.

What Next?

Unfortunately, it's gotten to the point where I'm still wanting to review, but feel the existential dread of failure coming back to haunt me. So, I'm taking a break until after Christmas. I will drop content in the New Year! I had an idea coming in for how to manage reviews in the future, but need to organize and collect my thoughts before I do. I'll be updating everyone real soon, but the plan is to try and have these reviews spread a bit further out and maybe pick up some more views. I'll be explaining in my next post!

Am I done reviewing?

No, of course not. I felt it was better to have quality content rather than the burnout reviews where I wrote a few lines and summarized my thoughts with minimal returns of gratification. So, plan is to take a breath and get back to it!

What next?

I have a plan to get back to movies in the New Year. For starters, I'm going back and watching old movies. Expanding my catalog back over 100 years, hitting all the classics. For the movies I know I'll have a harder time finding, I'll likely mull over, but I've set calendars up to remind me. But, I had an idea on how to multi-review without as much burnout.

What about all the movies you watched while you were gone?

This is the hard part, but many of them simply won't get dedicated reviews. However, I'll be making quick short summaries of them in a larger review sometime in the near future. My plan is to also get on Letterboxd more to help me organize reviews and scores. I will be sharing that link soon! Anything left?

I'd like to tease what's next, but for right now, know that my blog is likely going to be part of the plan for the near future. I'm making moves to try and narrow my focus. I have three ideas, once one is picked, we'll move in and people will be able to follow along! Please, spread this blog out if you do read it and I'll work on making sure all my sites see this! My goal is to get a bit bigger and hopefully get a fire under my belly to review! Thank you everyone for your patience!
